Half of passengers want cruise smoking ban

According to research undertaken recently by an independent cruise ship website nearly 50% of cruise passengers want smoking aboard cruise ships banned completely and a further 10% would prefer to see smokers relegated to a specific smoking section on the ship.

Norwegian Cruise Line latest to ban smoking

From January 2012, guests will no longer be allowed to smoke in their state rooms on the Norwegian Cruise Line. Those passengers who have cabins with balcony’s will still be permitted to smoke on the balcony only, and not in the cabin. There are no exceptions for cigars and pipes inside any of the cabins.
